"The film focuses on two different fire rituals: the Greek Anastenaria at Aghia Eleni and Langadas in Northern Greece, and the Indian Draupadhi ritual in Tamil-Nadu and other places in Southeastern Asia. It dramatizes various versions of the fire-walking ritual in order to reveal the hope of rebirth of Nature and the soul, as well as the drama of wounded memory, persecution and exile. The difference of this film from others dedicated to similar subjects is that the ethnographic approach is combined with historical memory, the direct human experience of the \"participating\" narrator/director, filming in the field, historical documents and images from the art and culture of the two areas. The song about Mikroconstantinos and the dramatization of the Mahabharata becomes the voice of those who remain voiceless, because \"nobody cares about their souls.\"--Container.
